Abstract

The phase of 4.0 industrial revolution is brought some changes in terms of technological developmentandproductionprocessoneconomicactivities.Thosechangesare also made an impact on the financial transactions into online-based business applications that require no convergence between sellers and buyers. The financial transactions manageusingatechnology-based financial business that’s called financial technology. e-Money is one kind of financial technology application that are provided by many agencies and can be used by the general public. This study aims to analyze the effect of user’s reason and acceptance on the interest of transactions using e-Money. The reason is discussedbaseon Theory of Reasoned Action(TRA), whereas the acceptance is based on Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Theory of Reasoned Action defines user’s reason with two indicators: subjective norms and attitude, while Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) defines user’s acceptance with two indicators: perceived of usefulness and perceivedof easeofuse.Dataiscollectedusingquestioners to the students of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that subjective norms and attitudes have effects on the interest of transactions using e-Money, meanwhile perceived of usefulness and perceivedof easeofuse have no effects on the interest of transactions using e-Money.
