Abstract
There are several objectives to be achieved in this research are: 1) Identifying the factors that cause the performance of the Directorate of Water and Air Police (Ditpolairud) of the Yogyakarta Regional Police is not optimal. 2) Formulating any efforts to improve the performance of the Directorate of Water and Air Police (Ditpolairud) Polda DIY. The data analysis used in this research is descriptive qualitative analysis. The results of the study are: 1) A less than optimal performance increase can be caused by several factors, as follows: Because many employees are aware of new regulations or policies; Lack of discipline of employees at the agency or agency; Compensation in the form of incentives received by employees is still low; Lack of Human Resources (HR) at the Agency or Institution. 2) Efforts made to improve performance that are less than optimal are as follows: It is necessary to disseminate information whenever there is a new policy or regulation; The need for tighter supervision to increase discipline of these employees; Need to increase or increase the incentives of employees; Adding new employees or Human Resources (HR) for the implementation of programs that have been made properly.
