Abstract

The performance of the Sidomulyo Agribusiness Microfinance Institution has not been optimal as seen from the failure to achieve the profit target of IDR 15,000,000 which was set for the last 3 years, namely 2017, 2018 and 2019. The objectives of this study are: (1) to identify the factors that cause the institution's performance Sidomulyo's sub-optimal Agribusiness Microfinance; (2) to analyze the factors causing the sub-optimal performance of the Sidomulyo Agribusiness Microfinance Institution; (3) to evaluate the performance of the Sidomulyo Agribusiness Microfinance Institution; (4) to formulate efforts to improve the performance of the Sidomulyo Agribusiness Microfinance Institution so that it is optimal. This research uses a qualitative method, with descriptive analysis techniques and comparative analysis. The results of the research are as follows: (1) The factors causing the performance of the Sidomulyo Agribusiness Microfinance Institution are not yet optimal, are: a) The managers of the Sidomulyo Agribusiness Microfinance Institution are not paid monthly; b) Loan services that are applied are high, namely 1.5% per month; c) Allocation of loans is mostly for on-farm cultivation; (2) These factors cause the performance of the Sidomulyo Agribusiness Microfinance Institution to be not optimal, because: a) The management of the Sidomulyo Agribusiness Microfinance Institution is not satisfied, which results in low work productivity, this is indicated by services to farmers who do not want to be targeted, the important thing is that the road ; b) Farmers are reluctant to borrow from the Sidomulyo Agribusiness Microfinance Institution, which applies a loan service of 1.5% per month; c) Loans for cultivated farming (on farm) have low turnover, considering that farmers can only pay in installments in the 4th month, namely after the rice harvest; (3) Evaluating the performance of the Sidomulyo Agribusiness Microfinance Institution, including: a) Management of LKMA Sidomulyo should be carried out professionally; b) The Sidomulyo Agribusiness Microfinance Institution needs to pay attention to the agricultural business of farm; c) Determination of loan services is carried out by deliberation while still considering the character and economic capacity of the farmers; (4) Efforts to improve the performance of the Sidomulyo Agribusiness Microfinance Institution so that it is optimal, namely: a) Managers of the Sidomulyo Agribusiness Microfinance Institution need to get a monthly salary; b) Loan services should not be too high so that farmers are interested in applying for loans; c) Allocation of loans for non-cultivation agricultural businesses (of farm) needs to get priority.
