Abstract

The achievement of company goals if there is success in the development and training of human resources or employees. The company will be larger as improvements in the capacity, quality and welfare as well as the loyalty of employees. Therefore, it takes a high employee performance to achieve the above. This study aims to: 1) To understand the causes of non-optimal performance of the employees at Warehouse Division of PT. Natural Nusantara (PT. NASA) Yogyakarta and 2) To formulate an effort to improve the employees of the Warehouse Division of PT. NASA Yogyakarta. This research was conducted using descriptive-qualitative methods. The data collection is done by observation, interviews and documentation. The informants in this study amounted to 6 people, namely the head of the warehouse division, the warehouse coordination admin staff, the admin staff in the inventory of data collection, the product packaging coordinator, the shipping coordinator and the product storage coordinator. The data that has been collected is carried out a credibility test using the data triangulation method and the steps of the analysis technique through 3 steps namely data reduction, displaying data and conclusions. The results of the analysis showed that the cause of the less optimal performance of the employees of the Warehouse Division of PT. NASA Yogyakarta, among others: employee work time discipline in punctual hours of work and achievement of work targets that have not been good and limited management knowledge in packing technology, quality control and product storage. While efforts to improve the performance of the employees of the Warehouse Division of PT. NASA Yogyakarta, among others : more intensive supervision and coaching for the discipline of the warehouse division employees and providing technical training regularly related to modern warehousing so that it will improve the capabilities and knowledge of Warehouse Division employees.
