Abstract
This study aims to determine the factors that cause the standard of the professional teacher professional service and the efforts to improve the professional teacher professional service in the Department of Education, Youth and Sports. This research was a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. This research was conducted in the Kesharlindung section. Research informants were the Head of Teachers and Education Personnel (GTK), the Head of the Welfare, Award and Protection Section (Kesharlindung) and 3 staffs of the Education Professionals Teacher Support Service (TPG). Data collection techniques used observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques used data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed several obstacles that caused the Teacher Professional Allowance Service Standards to be suboptimal are such as consultation service time and completion of the submission of requests from users was quite long, service users did not understand their own problems, the availability of facilities and infrastructure were inadequate, and the competence of officers in providing services was still less skilled, especially computer-based services.
