Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of work discipline and competence in improving the performance of Government Apparatus Village Village Kandangan Temanggung District and the appropriate implementation to improve the performance of the apparatus. The study was conducted from January- February 2018. The type of research is a qualitative descriptive study with sample of 80 village officials. Technique of sample appearance with quota random sampling. Data collection techniques by questionnaire and data analysis using frequency distribution analysis. Work discipline is measured by the level of attendance, strict regulation, the use of time and environmental conditions. Competence is measured by knowledge, skills and behavior while performance is measured by the ability to work together, responsibility and work creativity. The results showed that the average work discipline 3.70 medium category, Competence apparatus average 3.83 categories are. The performance of the apparatus averaged 3.80 medium categories. Appropriate implementation to improve performance is to improve the discipline of the village apparatus, so it is recommended that the leadership enforce the regulations and sanction those who violate the rules and create favorable working conditions.
