Abstract

The economy in Indonesia nationally has shown that the activities of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are one of the consistent and growing business fields. With the economic crisis that hit Indonesia since 1997, Cooperatives have even become a savior for the country's economy because of the potential for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to provide the largest and significant contribution to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and employment. One of the common characteristics inherent in MSMEs in Indonesia is weak capital, even though capital is a very important factor in supporting increased production and business performance of MSMEs themselves. In these weak economic circles there is usually a problem, namely lack of capital, so that they often experience obstacles and difficulties in developing their business. Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have made a major contribution to the economy of the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The number of MSMEs in the Special Region of Yogyakarta continues to develop from year to year. The number of MSMEs was 220,703 in 2015 and continued to increase in 2016 to 230,047 and in 2017 to 238,619 MSMEs. Of this number, the largest distribution is in Bantul Regency as much as 26%, and the smallest is in the Yogyakarta Municipality area of 14% of the total MSMEs in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DISperindagkoptan DIY, 2018). Keyword : Micro credit interest rates, guarantees and decisions for making micro credit for MSME in Yogyakarta.
