Abstract

The background of this research is the low responsibility of the fifth grade students of Mergosono 1 Elementary School, Buayan Subdistrict, Kebumen Regency, with a focus of research on the responsibilities of students in helping parents at home. The purpose of this study was to identify the factors causing the low responsibility of students as well as efforts to improve the character of students' responsibility through the use of attitude control card. This class action research was carried out in 2 cycles. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, observations, and documentation, with descriptive qualitative and comparative analysis. The results found that the factors causing the low responsibility of students were bored students, game addiction, low parental control, and others. The average activity of each student before the study was 0.96 activities in a day, at the end of the second cycle it rose to 7.56 activities in a day (an increase of 684%). It can be concluded that the use of attitude control card is able to increase the responsibilities of fifth grade students of Mergosono 1 Elementary School, Buayan District, Kebumen Regency.
