Abstract

The phenomenon of the Covid-19 pandemic has a major impact on the growth of companies in various sectors and Human Resources (HR) as workers or employees. One of the influential sectors is automotive. Not only that, from the HR side, another influence that arises is a decrease in employee performance. This is caused by many factors, some of which include political skills, work environment, and motivation. Previous research has shown that there are gaps in the form of differences in research results, so further research needs to be carried out to confirm these results. This study aims to examine and analyze the relationship between political skills, work environment and motivation on performance. This study uses a research method with a quantitative approach and a cross sectional research design. The data in this study were taken from employees who work for two automotive companies, Yamaha and Honda, in Bantul, Yogyakarta. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires, additional information was obtained through interviews and literature studies. The amount of data that was successfully processed was 100 out of 112 respondents. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression. The results showed that the three research hypotheses were supported. In conclusion, political skills, work environment and work motivation have a positive influence on performance. This research is useful for HR managers to find out the factors that can support employee performance.
