Abstract

This study are reveal to know what sectors of economy are relatively potential and have a role to be base sector for support development of DIY, how big the multiplier effect of the base sector activities for regional income of DIY, and how big regional income divulgence that happen as a consequences of base sector activities. The secondary data are used for this study under range of 2001-2005. They take from BPS. LQ (location quotient) method is used as analysis method. The result show that agriculture, electricity, gas and fresh water, property, hotel and restaurant, accommodation and communication, and services sectors are base sectors. Services sector have highest potential. The highest value of LQ improve that evidence. The mean of multiplier effect is 1.335 that is mean if bases sectors increase one percent will cause non bases sectors to increase 0.335%. The mean of regional income divulgence is 1.610% that is mean if DIY has 98.39% income. From this study, researchers hope can give more information for better policy of the government made.
